This site is a tribute to Patricia (Pat) Puttock, born in Kingston Upon Hull on 11th July 1935 who went to sleep peacefully at home on 21st May 2024.
She is much loved and will always be remembered.
Pat was an amazing wife to John, a loving mum, grandma, great-grandma, sister, aunt and loyal friend to many.
She was immensely proud of her Yorkshire roots even though during her married life she lived in a number of places in England and Scotland. She enjoyed a long career in teaching up to her retirement in the mid-90's, she was also an active member of school PTA groups, as well as with John helping out as Scout and Guide parent helpers once she became a mum.
Patricia was devoted to her friends, many of whom she met through her Methodist faith as a member of the congregation, church choir and wives group. She supported Christian Aid every year so we have chosen this for any charity donation in her memory.
She was passionate about keeping in touch with all her friends and family be it by regular letters or phonecalls. This was immensely comforting to her particularly through the difficult times of Covid and she remained an avid letter writer right up to her sudden passing.
In later years she loved painting watercolours, reading, crossword puzzles and spending more time with her family. Moving to Poole a couple of years ago meant she still got time to go to the beach for an icecream (come rain or shine) as well as seeing her grandchildren and great-grandchildren grow up.
Always loved, never forgotten.
The Star
A light went out on Earth for me
The day we said goodbye
And on that day a star was born
The brightest in the sky
Reaching through the darkness
With its rays of purest white
Lighting up the Heavens
As it once lit up my life
With beams of love to heal
The broken heart you've left behind
Where always in my memory
Your lovely star will shine.
